OUT-Reach Action Teams: Assist with Community Care

  • St. Philip's Food Pantry

St. John’s collects food donations weekly for Nashville’s Second Harvest Food Bank. We then deliver these food items at the end of each month. Please click on Total Food Items Given in 2025 below to see how we are making a difference by helping to feed people in our community.

  • Room in the Inn

During the months of November – March we house 12 homeless people twice a month. We pick them up, feed them a nutritious meal, offer a shower, launder their clothes as needed, watch TV. We also provide a comfortable bed, breakfast, toiletry bag, and a lunch bag to go for each person.

  • Metro Office of Family Safety

The mission of the Metropolitan Nashville-Davidson County Office of Family Safety is to increase victim safety and offender accountability by providing vital crisis intervention services to victims of interpersonal violence while maintaining the emotional wellness of service providers.

  • Hot Meal Ministry

Help us prepare and deliver hot meals to our homeless friends on the second Sunday of each month. From cooking to packaging to delivering, there’s a role for everyone to show care through food.

  • Blessing Bags

Recently renamed “Gladys” Bags for one of our longtime members, these gallon sized bags provide snacks, water, and a t-shirt for recipients in need. There are also Beth Bags (with feminine hygiene products), and Bow Wow Bags (for dogs).
