Did you know you can spark generosity with just one simple step? Thrivent Action Teams provide $250 grants to enhance our community outreach. Help cover food, clothing, toiletries, and more. Together, these teams make a huge difference in the lives of people around us.

Action Team Participant: Thrivent Members have up to 2 Free Action Teams a year, each up to $250. Anyone can become an Associate member for $20 and be eligible for one $250 Team per year. For more information, please contact our Contact: Mary Maercklein.

  • Yes. St. John’s Lutheran Church is a 501(c)3 non-profit. Donations are tax deductible.

  • Donations can be designated toward a specific ministry, but most donations are used for the basic operating expenses and ongoing costs to keep St. John in service to our community.

  • Absolutely! We welcome all donations of non-perishable food, cash, check or credit card contributions. Our accounting records are transparent and available to review, and we are grateful for all support received.

  • Yes. We accept non-perishable food for our Compassion Ministry, materials for our various ministries, (for example, yarn for our Piece Makers craft group). Please feel free to contact us for a list of current needs.

  • Yes. We would be grateful to honor a loved one. Please contact us for more information on memorial giving.
